In the Name of God is a movie that tells the story of a young Muslim cleric named Ahmad, who works at a small mosque in Jakarta. Despite his sincere devotion to his faith, Ahmad struggles to balance his religious beliefs with his own personal desires and emotions.
When Ahmad meets a beautiful, wealthy woman named Maria, he finds himself drawn to her despite the fact that she is not Muslim. As their relationship deepens, Ahmad begins to question his own faith and beliefs, and is faced with a difficult choice between his religious obligations and his love for Maria.
Meanwhile, Ahmad's close friend and fellow cleric, Musa, is becoming increasingly radicalized in his beliefs and actions, leading to a dangerous confrontation with the local authorities.
