LaLiga 22/23 Barcelona 0-0 Girona

Hello everyone and welcome to this MARCA in English live blog for the LaLiga Santander match between Barcelona and Girona from the Camp Nou.

Barcelona's heavy Copa del Rey defeat to bitter rivals Real Madrid came as a shock to fans and Xavi will seek to recover quickly with a strong performance at home to Girona on Monday.

Despite sitting 12 points clear at the top of the LaLiga Santander table, the Catalan side will be focused on preventing a complete capitulation in order to seal this season's LaLiga title.

Girona will travel to Camp Nou off the back of a 2-1 victory against Espanyol. They find themselves 11th in the table and seven points clear of the relegation zone.

Barcelona vs Girona predicted line-ups

Ousmane Dembele, Pedri, Andreas Christensen and Frenkie de Jong will all be absent on Monday for Barcelona's league tie against Girona.

Xavi could be looking to bolster his side that suffered against Real Madrid, offering starts to Ansu Fati and Jordi Alba.

As for Girona, they will be boosted by the news that midfielder Aleix Garcia is expected to return for his side after a period out with injury.

Girona's injury list hasn't diminished much, though, with the likes of Borja Garcia, Joel Roca, Alexander Callens, Yangel Herrera and Ibrahima Kebe all set to miss Monday's tie.

Barcelona possible XI (4-3-3): Ter Stegen; Araujo, Kounde, Alonso, Alba; Roberto, Busquets, Gavi; Fati, Lewandowski, Raphinha.

Girona possible XI (4-3-3): Gazzaniga; A Martinez, Bueno, D Lopez, J Hernandez; Romeu, A Garcia, Martin; Tsygankov, Castellanos, Villa.
